Introduction

The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine is a world-leading centre for research and postgraduate education in public and global health, with 4,000 students and more than 1,300 staff working in over 100 countries. The School is one of the highest-rated research institutions in the UK, and was recently cited as one of the world's top universities for collaborative research.

This is Europe's only graduate course in demography with an emphasis on health. It is designed for those interested in acquiring a technical understanding of this subject and also of the interaction of health and population determinants such as sexual relations, childbearing and life expectancy.

 

The course teaches research skills which are highly valued in the job market generally and are welcomed in a wide variety of research fields.
