Introduction

The Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services has a reputation for innovation and productivity. With a land grant mission, we have long been committed to quality teaching, outreach, and generating new knowledge. Shown below are just a few indicators of our success in teaching, service, and research. As members of the Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services we provide teaching, service, and research in a variety of disciplines to improve the teaching/learning transaction wherever it takes place and to increase the effectiveness of services for individuals, families, communities, schools, and organizations.

The Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services (CEHS) is committed to helping people lead richer, fuller lives. We are proud of a land-grant tradition of excellence in teaching, research, and service, and we welcome the challenges of the 21st Century. It is because of our students, work ethic, scholarly productivity, and emphasis on outreach that we are consistently ranked first in the state of Utah and among the top 30 graduate schools of education in the United States, according to U.S. News & World Report. Across the diverse departments and units that comprise the CEHS, faculty practice what they teach. These aspects have culminated into the four goals of our vision of being the region's leader.
