Starting its activities in 1970, the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of Nova Iguaçu, offered the first tertiary education unit of the Baixada Fluminense. ABOUT US The creation of Olinda School in 2010 was the result of a partnership between two Brazilians & an Australian. The former teacher, Student relationship became a business venture when they combined to build the only purpose-built school for foreigners in Brazil. TECHNICAL AND SCIENTIFICAL COOPERATION Supporting agencies and resources management For the development of its main activities Unesp receives financial aid from the main research supporting agencies in the country, such as FAPESP, CNPq, CAPES, and FINEP. These resources are guaranteed by agreements that allow faculty members and students to participate in exchange programs, development of academic projects and services. These agreements are signed with national and foreign universities, institutes, associations, foundations, city halls, Government bureaus, ministries, federal and state agencies and private companies, adding up to 300 partnerships that increase annually.
