Historic Founded in 1965, UNINCOR started as a Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters and in 1975 passed the Higher Institute of Sciences, Letters and Arts Three Hearts - INCOR. The institution The Iguaçu UNIVERSITY - UNIG was created from the maturity of the faculties of Nova Iguaçu Unified by MEC Ordinance No. 1318, of September 16, 1993, published in the Official Gazette of 09.20.93, section I, p. 14017. Its sponsor the Higher Education Association of Nova Iguaçu - SESNI, nonprofit, philanthropic nature, with headquarters in the city of Nova Iguaçu - State of Rio de Janeiro. The UNIG integrates presently five campuses, namely: … [+] I campus Nova Iguaçu Campus II Teaching Clinic Campus III Vocational Training Centre Dr. Paulo Machado Fróes Campus V Itaperuna It is based in the Campus I, through which it interacts, in the social, economic, cultural and political with the Lowlands and the northern state of Rio de Janeiro, leading technology and fundamental knowledge for the progress of these regions to the State and for the country. Starting its activities in 1970, the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of Nova Iguaçu, offered the first tertiary education unit of the Baixada Fluminense. This pioneering occurred with the implementation of Arts courses (Qualifications: Portuguese-Literature and Portuguese-English), Mathematics, Physics, Life Sciences, recognized in 1974. Throughout its existence, and to promote significant changes in the surrounding region, UNIG has transformed itself in a continuous process of administrative, pedagogical and technological improvement. Afinal, são 20.596 alunos matriculados, 22.139 alunos formados em graduação, 7.744 em pós-graduação e 63 nos cursos de mestrado, nos 5 campi implantados em todo o Estado. 23 ANOS DE RALIZAÇÕES E RESULTADOS A história da UNIC é constituída de momentos marcantes e ações empreendedoras no Ensino Superior, o que a torna reconhecida, como uma instituição de excelência. … [+] A Universidade de Cuiabá foi fundada no dia 19 de Abril de 1988, sendo, na época, a primeira faculdade de iniciativa privada no Estado de Mato Grosso. Nesses 23 anos de trabalho, a UNIC vem realizando mudanças e sendo pioneira em muitas iniciativas. Uma delas foi a implantação do curso de Odontologia, pioneiro no Estado, assim como os cursos de Farmácia, Bioquímica, Fisioterapia, Psicologia e mais recentemente Gastronomia, Artes Cênicas, Design de Interiores, Design de Modas e muitos outros. Clínica de Odontologia - Visando à saúde e prevenção bucal, oferece atendimento odontológico gratuito à comunidade de baixa renda de Cuiabá e região, em projetos como Siminina, Nossa Casa, Família Feliz, DAE, São Vicente e clínica Bebê. Clínica de Fisioterapia - Realiza atendimento de ortopedia, lesões-traumáticas, fraturas e problemas de coluna, lesões esportivas neurológicas e respiratórias. Clínica de Psicologia – Oferece atendimento psicológico clínico para a comunidade. UNIJURIS - Núcleo de Assistência Jurídica – Presta assessoria e assistência jurídica às pessoas com renda mensal de até dois salários mínimos. Ciências Contábeis e Economia - Há cinco anos, auxilia a população na Declaração do Imposto de Renda. Faculdade de Tecnologia – FatecPõe em prática projetos para a comunidade de baixa renda, como o Programa de Inclusão Digital - Informática Básica, para alunos de Escolas de 1° Grau da periferia de Cuiabá. Farmácia e Bioquímica – Desenvolve campanhas pelo uso racional de medicamentos. Enfermagem - Executa atividades sociais como campanhas de vacinação, palestras, dentre outras. Nutrição – Oferece palestras mostrando à comunidade como aproveitar melhor os alimentos. HOSPITAL GERAL UNIVERSITÁRIO - HGU A assembléia geral que aprovou a parceria UNIC/HGU foi realizada em 19 de janeiro de 2000, quando a UNIC passou a administrar o antigo Hospital Geral com a missão de evitar que se fechassem suas portas. Hoje o HGU – Hospital Geral Universitário - é referência regional na área da saúde. É o maior parceiro do SUS em Mato Grosso e mantém o principal Banco de Leite Materno do Estado. Considerando apenas o ano de 2007, foram realizadas 8.873 internações, 3.911 cirurgias, 140.120 atendimentos laboratoriais, 277.477 análises clínicas, 2.624 partos e cesarianas, 170 internações na UTI Adulto, 426 internações na UTI Neonatal, 14.598 exames radiológicos (Raios-X, tomografia, ECG e mamografia) e 4.768 de ultra-som, 56.731 exercícios em fisioterapia, 20.519 sessões de terapia renal substitutiva, 5.793 sessões de quimioterapia ambulatorial, 18.045 anátomo-patológico. No Programa Fissuras, o HGU possui parceria com a Secretaria de Saúde de Mato Grosso e com o The Smile, que ajuda no custeio das cirurgias. No Estado, é o único que inicia o tratamento na fase da gestação, oferecendo assistência às futuras mamães de bebês com lábio leporino. Após a concepção, esses bebês são encaminhados para a realização de cirurgias que os integram à sociedade. Recentemente, o HGU foi reconhecido como "Tecnologia Social" pela Fundação Banco do Brasil.
