Pharmacy refers to an area of study in which people learn how to fill prescriptions and advise patients on how and when to take medications. Those who study pharmacy may go onto become pharmacy technicians, hospital pharmacists, or pharmacy managers.

The institutions of higher education included regular four-year colleges and universities. Education is taken very seriously in South Korea, and the country is home to several world class universities, many of which have exchange agreements with various foreign universities, and are a good way for foreigners to experience life in the country.

Before people apply to medical school, they typically engage in the undergraduate pursuits that are most likely to prepare them for the intensity of those programs. Pre-med coursework can put students on the path to further study and, ultimately, to careers in the medical field.
