Introduction

The Doctor of Medicine (MD) Program at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health strives to engage students in a learning process that will help them become highly competent and compassionate physicians who promote health and have a lifelong thirst for learning. Our ForWard Curriculum replaces the traditional medical school education model with a three-phase model that fully integrates basic, public health, and clinical sciences throughout our medical students' education, better preparing them to be the physician leaders of tomorrow.

The Doctor of Medicine (MD) curriculum emphasizes team-based learning, emphasizing the hands-on application of knowledge in clinical and community settings.
