Since 1972, The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) Cizik School of Nursing has offered rigorous educational, clinical, and research opportunities to prepare nurses for challenging and rewarding health care careers. Our name changed to the Jane and Robert Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth in 2017 to recognize a transformational gift of $25 million that endowed scholarships, faculty chairs, and research in addition to a distinguished lecture series.

Top students at various educational and professional levels choose Cizik School of Nursing to advance their careers by earning Bachelor of Science in Nursing, MSN, DNP, or Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing degrees. With approximately 1,400 students currently enrolled, the school graduates approximately 400 BSN nurses and 400 nurses with graduate degrees in an average year.
