Introduction
The Master in Community Nursing aims to: - Ensure the acquisition of scientific, technical, human and cultural skills, so that professionals are able to provide expert assistance to the individual, family, and community groups; - Enable the nurse to integrate multidisciplinary teams promoting highly specialized care within the Community Nursing; - To train for the development of research in the field of Community Nursing, contributing to the creation of scientific evidence. Still want the school, in addition to promoting the development of good practice in the workplace, preparing nurses who can act in society, to be able to plan and act according to social and professional changes in the future and contribute to the advancement the profession.
The learning process proposed for the course assumes as a prerequisite the possession of a degree in nursing and professional experience as a nurse for two years at least. Thus, and considering that students already have the skills set to the first level of training in nursing, the it is intended to develop, deepen and investigate in the area of specialization in Community Nursing. With the objectives of this Master, directed to the areas of specialization in Community Nursing, we want the students throughout the course to develop the following skills: - Acquire knowledge and scientific, technical, human and ethical for the provision of specialized care in Community Nursing ; - Develop relationship and communication skills appropriate to individuals, groups and / or communities; - To demonstrate critical and reflective capacity that allows IT personal and professional development throughout life; - Develop resource management capabilities in order to design, plan, implement and evaluate community intervention programs; - Demonstrate humanist principles of respect for the values, customs, religions and all other aspects set out in the Code of Ethics Nurse looking for excellence in professional practice.
