The American College of Norway
Introduction
Discover an exciting study abroad adventure at the American College of Norway (ACN), where you can experience top-notch academics and immerse yourself in local culture. ACN has 30 years of experience in helping students make the most of their time studying abroad. ACN welcomes a diverse student body, with Americans and international students studying alongside Norwegians. The small campus, admitting only 50 students every year, ensures a close-knit community where students build lasting connections with both peers and faculty. Whether for a semester, the full academic year, or the very popular summer program, ACN provides a unique opportunity for students at several academic levels.
The curriculum, taught by experienced American faculty, aligns with U.S. bachelor's degree requirements, fostering a comfortable academic transition. ACN's living/learning community extends beyond classrooms, encouraging collaborative learning among students. This inclusive environment is perfect for those seeking a supportive study abroad experience. Academically, ACN offers a dynamic curriculum with courses taught by visiting faculty from top U.S. universities. The changing course offerings each semester provide diverse subjects that fulfill general education requirements or serve as electives at U.S. universities. Norwegian students often choose ACN to experience a year of American university education before completing their degrees in the U.S., facilitated by ACN's partnerships with American universities.
Beyond academics, ACN is proud of its lively on-campus community with a variety of activities, events, and excursions. From cultural events to travel courses, students at ACN are immersed in an exciting and enriching experience. Situated in the charming coastal town of Moss, just a 40-minute train ride from Oslo, ACN offers the best of both worlds – the intimacy of a small town with easy access to the vibrant capital. Moss provides an idyllic backdrop for a truly immersive study abroad experience. Join us at the American College of Norway, where academic excellence and cultural exploration create memories that last a lifetime. Apply now and embrace the adventure!
