Bachelor in Pre-Veterinary Medicine
Students who are interested in going to veterinary medical school typically major in biology, chemistry or biochemistry. As these majors include both the required courses for entrance into professional schools as well as additional coursework that will help prepare students for veterinary programs and for the entrance exam (the Graduate Record Examination or Medical College Admissions Test). However, other degrees can also prepare students for health professions; thus students are encouraged to major in the field where they excel and should consult a Pre-health Professions advisor about coursework.
