Objectives of Pre-Medicine Bridge Program

The Pre-Medicine Bridge (PMB) program is designed to provide courses to students who have completed a Bachelor’s degree. The PMB program consists of courses that are delivered in person by a lecturer or via an online facility. As each student attending the PMB program will come with their unique skill set and knowledge, the courses are designed to fill gaps in information as well as strengthen reading, comprehension and math proficiencies, skills that are required to attain a high MCAT® score.

Learning Outcomes of the Program

The Pre-Medicine Bridge program (PMB) is designed to prepare students for entry into Khalifa University’s Doctor of Medicine (MD) program. Students will be assessed using questions that are similar to those in the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT®), a standardized test used in the USA, Canada, and 19 other countries. Admission into the MD program at Khalifa University is based on a number of criteria, including a good MCAT® score.

Specifically, the PMB program is a series of bridging courses intended for students who have completed a Bachelor’s program from pre-eminent local and international universities. The educational goals of the program are to close gaps in a student’s knowledge base and to develop specific skill sets to maximize their MCAT® score.
