Gain clinical knowledge through clinic observation
Participants will rotate and observe acupuncture treatments at the American College of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine research clinic. Clinical rotations will include observation of patient interaction, patient treatments, herbal prescriptions, and office management.
Gain knowledge in U.S. healthcare regulations and ethical issues
Participants will be introduced to important ethical and regulatory topics including HIPAA, OSHA, and Clean Needle Techniques. The course will introduce important healthcare legal and liability issues that involve all U.S. practitioners.
Practice your language skills
Participants will have the opportunity to practice their language skills. Options to choose between medical Chinese or medical English, and learn basic medical terminologies that are essential in communicating with patients.
Enhance your leadership skills
Participants can enhance their leadership skills, develop teamwork, and help the community through volunteering in non-profit organizations.
Relax in weekend excursions
Relax in weekend excursions including NASA Space Center, dolphin sightseeing, George Ranch, and enjoy the Houston Museum of Natural Science.
** Some dates may be flexible.
The cost is $2050 (U.S.) per person. This includes meals and excursions but not the hotel.
Refund, minus $100 processing fee, will be given to those who cancel in writing by July 29, 2019.
