The main theoretical aim is the formulation of generally valid rules, both at the cellular and organic level, as well as at the human, individual level. The biophysical and engineering methodological approach for solving tasks is supported by high-level knowledge of biological character. The research focused on the role of free radicals in terms of their action as mutagens, on the research of other toxic agents for nucleic acids and biomembranes and on the research of carcinogenesis and atherogenesis. Methodological field requires knowledge of fundamental techniques and separation and functional characterization of biomacromolecules as well as low-molecular biochemical components of cells and body fluids, or molecular biology techniques, or cell and tissue culture cultivation.
