Program Description
The graduate of the doctoral study program Physiology and Pathological Physiology has deep theoretical knowledge of medical physiology and pathological physiology. He or she has practical skills in selected laboratory methods and experimental attitudes in the field of biomedical research. He or she is capable of solving scientific problems independently and of submitting his or her own research project proposals. The graduate has acquired knowledge in processing and analysis of experimental data and is instructed how to interpret and publish scientific findings. The Ph.D. graduate is a highly qualified expert who can conduct a creative scientific work and is prepared for a further career in academic or research institutions focused on biomedical research.
Description of verification and evaluation criteria
Examination: Basics of medical physiology and pathological physiology at a level of undergraduate studies of General Medicine.
Admission requirements
Assets: Practice: 5 points; Abstract: 5 points; Education: 30 points (bonus for those who graduated in medicine, natural science, pharmacology)
Additional requirements: Computer skills (at least ECDL Start Certificate): 3 points; Knowledge of English language is required (CEFRL B2 or higher): 2 points
Criteria for the evaluation: (100 points, minimum points for admission 70 )
Admission examination: 55 points
Assets: 40 points
Additional requirements: 5 points
Conditions for admission
Admission to Doctoral studies is conditioned by successful completion of a Master's study program.
