Homologous and heterogeneous gene expression and its regulation, gene manipulation industrial strain of microorganisms, the degree of ribosomal biosynthesis of proteins. Influence of application spheres of medicine (hereditary and infectious diseases, vaccines, new drugs), agriculture (transgenic organisms, and plant and animal breeding), ecology and biotechnology.
The study program is carried out in collaboration with the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.
Description of verification and evaluation criteria
Duly completed master’s study program, i.e. submission of a certified copy of the university diploma or the nostrification of university education, by 30 September 2019.
Submission of the application form including all relevant enclosures, i.e. CV, professional reference, payment receipt of the admission fee by 30 April 2019
Submission of the dissertation project by 30 April 2019
Successful completion of the exam, which is based on appropriate knowledge in the scientific field chosen.
Entrance exams take the form of an interview on the topic of the Ph.D. Thesis, demonstrating the technical skills of the applicant for the doctoral study program and the ability to work with specialized foreign literature. The project is assessed by the expert committee.
Conditions for admission
Admission to Doctoral studies is conditioned by successful completion of a Master's study program.

A graduate of the Ph.D. program has sound theoretical and practical knowledge in molecular and cellular biology, genetics and virology. He/she is highly qualified in these fields, especially in that which was the subject of his/her dissertation. He/she is experienced in modern molecular, cellular, biochemical and biostatistical methods, including techniques and experimental approaches.
The level of education obtained allows graduates to work skillfully in different fields of biology, microbiology, biomedicine, and bioinformatics, and to contribute at any University, an academic or industrial institution specializing in basic and/or applied research and development.
