Introduction
It is a 6-year MD study course in English, which was opened in 2004. The course consists of 5917 hours of classes (including 600 hours of student internships).
Currently, there are over 450 students from 40 countries, mainly from Scandinavia, but also from Canada and the USA, Ireland, Finland, Spain, Germany, India, Nigeria, Tanzania, United Arab Emirates or even Trinidad and Tobago. The English Division students benefit both from theoretical knowledge as well as practical experience of the academic staff. The teachers strive to provide the students with optimal conditions for studying and working, all in a friendly atmosphere and with the emphasis on the ethical principles.
The classes are conducted in the university’s state-of-the-art scientific and didactic facilities, which includes: a modern University Clinical Hospital, Euroregional Pharmacy Centre, Didactic and Scientific Centre of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Clinical Research Centre, Experimental Medicine Centre, Innovation Research Centre, Centre for Bioinformatics and Data Analysis, Molecular Imaging Laboratory. A lot of classes are carried out at the Centre for Medical Simulation.
The Medical University of Bialystok has concluded agreements with hospitals in various countries of the world, thanks to which international students can carry out student internships in their country of origin (e.g. Germany, Austria, Switzerland).
