Medicine basic subjects are an independent unit of study that gives 60 credits. The study provides a thorough introduction in medical subjects. The study fits well for students who consider medical studies or other professional studies in health and complementary medicine, such as acupuncture and homeopathy. However, the study is also suitable for those who wish to work in the health and care sector and obtain a relevant competence letter for this.

NB: The program is not the first year of a doctor / medical education. If you are going to study medicine, you must begin in the first year of it after completing the basic medicine. If you want to become a doctor and meet the requirements, you can apply for our 1 + 5 program which is a medical education.

Medicine's basic course provides 60 credits which can count as 2 additional points if you apply for higher education in Norway.
