The course runs for four years, on a part-time basis, and leads to a Masters degree.

The course combines lectures and research with mandatory clinical training modules. The latter will be supervised by orthodontic specialist mostly accreditated by the European Board of Orthodontics.

Subjects will be taught through group sessions, seminars pratical skills training, and students-led enhancement sessions.

Lectures will be held for 2 weeks every 4 months in Malta + 40 hours of clinical practice every semester for the first year, 50 hours for the second year and 60 hours for the third year.

The Masters degree will enable you to

  • treat dentofacial deformities;
  • treat patient presenting deciduous, mixed and permanet dention;
  • diagnose and treat Class I, II and III malocclusions, vertical and transversal occlusal alterations;
  • treat adult patients even with reduced dentition and/or periodontal problems;
  • interact with other specialists and be part of a multidisciplinary team: master the most recent 3D technologies as well as the new anchorage devices and invisible technique.
