The post-graduates program for master degree started as early as 1982, and that for Ph.D. degree started in 1990. It was evaluated as the key discipline of Jiangsu Province and State Key Training program in 2005, then the state second-class key discipline in 2007. Now the department has an experienced and creative team of faculty and staffs including 3 professors, 6 associated professors, and 4 instructors, among which 12 people have the Ph.D. or master degrees.
The department also carried out various courses in the undergraduate including Pharmacology, Cell Biology, Drug Toxicology, Experimental Pharmacology, Food Toxicology, a Medical basis for pharmacy, Advancement in modern pharmacology, English in Pharmaceutics.
