The MUIPA master is aimed at training researchers in subjects related to psychology. Thus, in the first place, it is intended to cover the training need of specialists and scientists in order to improve their research capacities for their work development in universities and research centers. And, secondly, it should be noted that good research training is beneficial to society. In this sense, the benefits of training researchers in applied psychology would be reflected in a greater production of innovation in areas such as socio-educational, clinical and health.Training objectivesThe main objective of the MUIPA master's degree is the training of researchers specialized in applied psychology to the socio-educational, clinical, health, etc. Within this general objective, the following specific objectives should be highlighted.Train students so that they can carry out a research project in applied psychology.
Provide a solid base of knowledge and methodological skills that allow the development and adequate implementation of the different stages of an investigation.

Therefore, their professional career would be aimed at obtaining related jobs in the field of research (universities, research centers, hospitals, etc.). Following this line, the completion of this master's degree enables access to doctoral studies.Admission profileThis Master is oriented towards research in applied fields, therefore it is intended, preferably, for professionals in the behavioral sciences who have shown a special interest in the development of research tasks in their professional field. Therefore, the entry profile is that of a person with training in behavioral, social or health sciences, who has shown a special interest in applied research, who has basic knowledge of research methodology, including statistics and the use of the computer at the user level and be able to read and communicate in English, at least in the area of scientific publications in psychology. The student can be both a person who has just finished his training in the degree, and who is especially interested in research, as a person who is practicing the profession, especially in the socio-educational or clinical and health fields, and wishes to acquire the skills that facilitate the development of research projects and their culmination through the publication of scientific documents.Bachelor's or Bachelor's degree in Psychology and other degrees in the areas of Social Sciences and Health Sciences from a Spanish University.
Bachelor's or Bachelor's degrees in Psychology or equivalent and other degrees in the areas of Social Sciences and Health Sciences from a European University.
Bachelor's or Bachelor's degrees in Psychology or equivalent (240 ECTS) and other degrees in the areas of Social Sciences and Health Sciences from an extra-community university.Admission criteriaIn this Master there is NO conditional admission!
Regarding admission, in accordance with the provisions of the UCLM regulations, applications will be evaluated by the Academic Committee of the Master, chaired by the Coordinator and made up of four other members, all PhD professors teaching in the program, who will take into account the following selection criteria:Academic record, where the average grade of the record and Psychology subjects taken (30% of the final assessment) will be assessed.
Curriculum vitae and its adaptation to the areas of specialization of the Master. The professional trajectory related to the Master's research lines will be taken into account (30% of the final assessment).
Other criteria: a) Computer management at the user level; b) Basic knowledge of statistics and data analysis; c) Knowledge of the English language both orally and in writing. These criteria will have to be demonstrated by means of the corresponding certification and, if not, a level test may be carried out (30% of the final assessment).
Explanatory request, where the candidate explains their motivation and expectations in reference to this Master (10% of the final assessment).The selection process will take place whenever the number of applications is greater than the number of places offered. If the number of places offered is not exceeded, all those who meet the profile mentioned above will be admitted.
