Master of Arts in Health Advancement and Promotion You can enrich the well-being of individuals, families and communities with the knowledge gained from Fontbonne University’s Master of Arts in Health Advancement and Promotion. Our program provides a strong professional knowledge base that enhances skills in advocacy and leadership and allows you to effectively meet the needs of individuals, families and communities in local and global environments. Program Highlights Using theoretical framework in the context of your professional experiences, you’ll learn to compassionately and respectfully assist those you serve by developing timely messages that will enhance knowledge and support behavior change; address human needs intellectually, compassionately and respectfully; advocate for individuals in public and private spaces; and assist colleagues by addressing the need for balance in the workplace. You’ll study topics such as advocacy, leadership, health behavior theory and health messaging using social media platforms. Students have the opportunity to build their own concentration by choosing electives that best meet their interests and career goals. Our small class sizes encourage meaningful discussion between faculty and students. Guest speakers and off-campus community program opportunities help you gain additional real-world experiences. Master of Arts + Coordinated Program in Nutrition and Dietetics We offer the master of arts in conjunction with our coordinated program in nutrition and dietetics. If you earned a bachelor degree and DPD verification from an accredited institution, you are eligible to complete the graduate coursework and supervised practice to earn a verification statement to sit for the credentialing exam for registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs).
