The Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy for Sports is intended for physical therapists who want to work in the field of physical therapy for sports, covering both sporting performance and general pathologies.
The objective of the Master's degree in sports physiotherapy is to provide the student of a qualification of specific and multidisciplinary character that allows you to learn the latest techniques in the field of sports physiotherapy, as well as in research methodology.
It will bring qualities needed to work in multidisciplinary teams related to the world of sport, either clinicians or researchers, according to the descriptors contained in the Spanish framework of qualifications for higher education (MECES).
So objectives that arise are oriented in a triple direction: on the one hand aims to provide students training in the basic sciences related to sport, which are the basis of the application of the physiotherapeutic techniques and you will have to live together in their professional practice, such as the physiology of exercise, sports Traumatology, training, sports psychology, etc..
On the other hand, provide specific knowledge of the techniques from different fields of physical therapy and its application in sport in all its forms: training, prevention, recovery and improvement of athletic performance.
In third place, is intended to provide students with the skills to develop an activity in the field of research, as well as the necessary tools to develop your research profile within the world of sport. These approaches will be realized in the definition of an own professional profile, through General and specific skills that are presented to a continuation:

- SK5. Discriminate and correctly apply specific techniques of physical therapy that will be applied in the different stages of the recovery, as well as for maintenance, prevention or improvement of the performance of the athlete.

The master of sports physiotherapy provides advanced knowledge of methods and techniques of physical therapy that goes to the athlete population.
For this reason, it is important that students reinforce their basic knowledge in order to establish better knowledge specialists in the area of Sport taught.
We must execute actions aimed at the prevention of injury, allowing the correct functionality of the athlete, to preserve the proper Anatomy, Physiology, and biomechanics of the athlete, through the knowledge acquired in grade, together with the provided in the Master's degree in sports physiotherapy of the European University, will allow us to achieve these objectives.

- A celebration of joint activities during the white Week. The White Week is an event in which students have the possibility of making contacts and share impressions and projects with the rest of the students of the postgraduate courses related to sport offered by the European University and with professionals in different areas of the Real Madrid Club de Fútbol. This event takes place at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium and the Ciudad Deportiva of Valdebebas.
