Program Description

The Master Program will prepare scientists who can:

  • To handle, intervene and improve the level of Mental Health Care by applying innovations in Nursing.
  • To design and develop new ways of intervening holistic nursing care in psychiatric patients.
  • Implement quality control and quality systems for Mental Health Care Systems.
  • To distinguish themselves as Mental Health Nurses scientists, to adhere to the principles of Ethics and Ethics during their exercise of their profession.
  • They will be able to work in all Mental Health Services (Primary, Secondary and Tertiary).

Career Prospects

  • To distinguish themselves as Mental Health Nurses scientists, to adhere to the principles of Ethics and Ethics during their exercise of their profession.
  • They will be able to work in all Mental Health Services (Primary, Secondary and Tertiary) In drug addiction clinics and others.

Access to Further Studies

Graduates of the program may be admitted to third-cycle studies (Doctoral Studies).

Learning results

Upon completion of the Postgraduate Program, students are expected to be able to:

  1. Understand the scientific framework of Nursing Mental Health in depth with a focus on philosophy, theory and new clinical practices.
  2. They know the Theories and Models of Mental Health Care as described in the international bibliography.
  3. They approach modern issues in the field of Mental Health of Nursing Science.
  4. They perceive the legislative framework, the rules of ethical behavior and the Principles of Ethics, on the basis of which the function of the Nurse of Mental Health is exercised.
  5. They distinguish, study and identify with the specialized knowledge of Mental Health the characteristics and health behaviors of populations with particular cultural habits such as repatriated emigrants, economic migrants and other population minorities.
  6. They deal with life threatening and unpleasant situations, urgent or not, through the specialized knowledge of the specialty of Nursing Mental Health.
  7. They can study in-depth scientific articles and evaluate them - exploit them in order to continuously improve Nursing practice in Mental Health for the benefit of patients, families, communities and the Nurses themselves.
  8. They plan and implement a research at all stages so that they are able to prepare a possible Doctoral Thesis in the field of Nursing Mental Health.
