Master of Science degrees are postgraduate academic programs awarded to students focusing on the scientific study of a given subject. The program usually takes between one and three years to complete after earning a Bachelor of Science.

What is an MSc in Food Science? The goal of the program is to equip students with a fundamental understanding of the physical, chemical, behavioral, and biological science behind preserving, processing, evaluating, utilizing, and inspecting food for public consumption. Courses may vary between universities, but most core classes include food processing, chemical and physical changes in food, industrial microbiology, food chemistry and biochemistry, food sensory science, and functional activities and interactions.
