This course provides students with a unique opportunity to take advantage of both Stirling and City University of Hong Kong’s aquaculture expertise. Both institutions have come together to provide this course in aquatic food security that includes animal biology and health, nutrition, food safety, production systems and disease. The course is delivered by the College of Veterinary Medicine, City University Hong Kong with the opportunity for students to undertake their research project in Stirling at the internationally recognised Institute of Aquaculture.

This ground-breaking collaboration will prepare our graduates for a bright future, providing them with the best of both worlds: Stirling’s internationally renowned aquaculture expertise and City University’s new state-of-the-art facilities close to all parts of the South-East Asian market. The demand for aquatic food worldwide is increasing significantly and at the same time, there is pressure for more efficient production and safe food while taking into account the environmental and sustainability issues throughout the entire aquatic food value chain.
