Founded in 1978, AUC is one of the oldest Caribbean medical schools with more than 5,700 alumni who are practicing in all 50 US states, Canada, and more than 20 other countries. AUC students' performance on Step 1 of the United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) is on par with the United States and Canadian medical schools which is currently 97% first-time pass rate for the year 2013.
Academic RequirementsBaccalaureate degree: All students who matriculate to American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited university. MCAT: All AUC applicants are required to take the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) to meet admission requirements. Our students have an average score of 25 on the old MCAT exam.
