MA in Health Administration. This part-time MA programme is designed to emphasise the responsibility of all clinical practitioners to support the development and leadership capacity of colleagues and improving patient care, patient experience and innovation in service delivery. Throughout the course, you will maintain a portfolio which will document your progress and demonstrate your achievement with relation to the NHS Clinical Leadership Framework. Skills you will develop during the programme include: Effective decision-making Comprehensive appreciation of your own strengths and development needs, as well as the strengths and development needs of others Expertise in organising others and working in teams Assessing a range of evidence to inform new strategies and services Efficient management of available resources Course Structure Year 1 Managing yourself and others Politics, Power and Persuasion Managing Services Year 2 Innovation and Practice Transforming the Service Year 3 - Dissertation Entry Requirements Degree Subject: A health care profession Degree Classification: 2.2 or equivalent Special Entry Requirements: Current registration as a health professional with an appropriate professional statutory regulatory body and a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience. Entry Requirement Must be current or aspiring clinical leaders and have the support of their employing organisation and have identified the undertaking of this programme within their PDR/PDP process. Students who do not meet the academic criterion might consider the B.A. programme for this course. Students for whom English is a Foreign language We welcome applications from students whose first language is not English or those whose degree was not taught in English. To ensure such students benefit fully from postgraduate study, we require evidence of proficiency in English. We also will require a certain standard to be achieved on the written element of the test.
