The course of Nutrition aims at training of generalist, humanistic and critical professionals facing the health needs of the population, mainly seeking promotion, prevention and maintenance of health of the individual. The professional is qualified to know, evaluate, explain and intervene in health status, particularly for food and human nutrition in their individual and collective. The professional will be directed to meet the following skills and abilities: planning, organization, direction and supervision of food and nutrition services; evaluation of individual nutritional status and collective; preparation and provision of hospital care, outpatient and office of nutrition and dietetics with prescription, planning, organization, supervision and evaluation diet for the sick.
