Doctor of Medicine in Clinical Sciences
With an innovative and real-world approach to medical education reflective of the US curriculum, our students are immediately exposed to a case-based, problem-oriented curriculum, which places far more emphasis on learning that is active rather than passive with clinical experience from the first semester of classes. Our curriculum builds students’ confidence in their own presentation skills which is essential when they are presenting their cases to a room full of medical doctors.
IAU students are required to pass the USMLE Step 1 exam before the end of the bridge semester. Once this is completed, they may begin clinical rotations in the U.S.
The 3rd and 4th years of medical school consist of the Clinical Sciences and are mainly comprised of clinical rotations (clerkships) under the supervision of a physician (preceptor). Our Clinical Campus is located in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, and all affiliated hospitals have ACGME accredited residency programs.
