Students in pharmacy technician training may explore the field through class work and hands-on experience. The skills they learn will include organization, helping others and attention to detail. They may work directly with pharmacists or doctors in an office or clinic.

Students can select individual courses in accordance with their interests. Students may also structure a series of classes in a way that might achieve specific objectives such as improving job skills, pursuing new careers, or obtaining certificates or degrees.

Part time learning allows one to obtain part-time degrees even if one cannot attend school on a full-time basis. One can learn at his or own pace, gradually accumulating credits which count towards final qualification.
