Best 2 Courses in Immunology 2019/2020

A course is a higher educational unit of learning and can last from a few weeks to a year. Courses help students develop deeper insight into specialized subject matter and can help close the gap between educational programs. Additionally, courses can serve to advance professional knowledge.

What is a course in immunology? A course in immunology builds upon a student’s existing knowledge of organic chemistry and biology. Coursework may cover a number of subjects, depending on the student’s choice of specialization, and may focus on cellular biology, molecular biology, the basics of cellular neuroscience, genetics, immunology, toxicology, pharmacology or bacterial pathogenesis. Whatever the scholar decides to take, the class will most likely have a basis in general biochemistry, immunology and microbiology.

Students may take an immunology course as part of a degree program or to bridge the gap between educational programs. Additionally, the course may help a professional refresh his or her knowledge of immunology or augment an existing skill set.

The cost of a course in immunology will depend on the length of the class, the type of instruction and the educational institutions. Students may choose to reduce costs through online instruction or shorter courses.

After completing a course in immunology, students may move on to participate in a certificate or degree program in related subject matter. However, some professionals choose to reenter the job market with current credentials and may choose to pursue more specialized occupations related to vaccines, biotechnology or psychiatric disorders. Depending on their other educational and professional credentials, students may move onto management or research positions in the medical field.

For students with limited access to educational facilities or living in remote areas, online courses in immunology offer flexibility and easy access to important educational programs. Search for your program below and contact directly the admission office of the school of your choice by filling in the lead form.

About ICPF- MED

ICPF Med for Medical Doctors from Abroad

ICPF Med is a one-year course offered by IAS and University of Allensbach, with the objective of preparing qualified foreign medical doctors for Higher Studies in Germany. Upon successful completion of this course, which includes German Language Training with a focus on medical terminology, hospital observerships, industry visits and much more, students can pursue their Masters in the healthcare sector.

ICPF Med provides credit points for the program (ECTS) which could be used in further studies.

The Medical Module of ICPF Med includes:

Basic vocabulary The German health system The anamnesis Physical examination The psychiatric exploration The patient presentation Apparative diagnostics Conversation among Medical Doctors/Doctor-Patient Intercultural communication Hold a lecture Written documentation (Case Sheet writing) Admission Requirements ... Infection, Neurobiology, and Genetics

The separate courses include lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory work.

Immunology covers the organization and development of the immune system, its activation upon stimulation, the various effector mechanisms involved in the innate and adaptive immune responses (cellular and humoral immunity), immunological memory, tolerance mechanisms, transplantation immunology, autoimmunity, hypersensitivity, immune deficiencies, and the defense mechanisms against different pathogens.

The Bacterial Physiology and Pathogenesis course will highlight the intriguing world of bacteria. It will give insight into the bacterial diversity and some of their distinctive habitats. It will illustrate in molecular detail the regulatory mechanisms of microbial adaptation to these varied environments. It will discuss the role of horizontal gene transfer in bacterial evolution and the acquisition of new coding potential, such as antibiotic resistance. The course will present the current state of knowledge regarding pathogenic mechanisms and the major disease-causing bacteria that use them. This will include an explanation at the molecular level of various pathogenic strategies such as motility, biofilms, quorum sensing, secretion systems, toxins, adhesion factors and immune evasion mechanisms. In the face of widespread antibiotic resistance among leading bacterial pathogens, new anti-bacterial treatment and prevention options will also be addressed. The Neurobiology course gives the student extended knowledge about how the nervous system is organized, and how it functions in order to change physiological state of neuronal circuits which underlies the generation of behavior. Thus, the nervous system is explored at molecular, cellular, systems and behavioral levels. The Genetics course aims to provide knowledge... [-]
