Acupuncture classes teach students about the application of thin, sterile needles as a form of alternative medicine. Scholars may also learn the theories behind this treatment, how to identify and diagnosis disorders that could be improved with these needles and how to use herbal remedies.

Students can select individual courses in accordance with their interests. Students may also structure a series of classes in a way that might achieve specific objectives such as improving job skills, pursuing new careers, or obtaining certificates or degrees.

Part time learning allows one to obtain part-time degrees even if one cannot attend school on a full-time basis. One can learn at his or own pace, gradually accumulating credits which count towards final qualification.
