If your interest in health is beyond your immediate surroundings, then this programme is for you. You’ll study health from a global perspective and explore different factors influencing healthy lifestyles. The programme investigates how culture and communities develop certain lifestyles and uncovers the diverse approaches to health and nutrition worldwide.
The Bachelor's Degree in Global Nutrition and Health aims to create a sustainable future. We educate the nutrition and health professionals of tomorrow. After graduating our students practice worldwide to help people live a healthier life. Your student tool box contains elements from natural, social, human and health sciences. This synergetic cocktail of multifaceted angles and approaches provides you capable of approaching the complexity of the global health and nutrition challenges.
The Bachelor's Degree in Global Nutrition and Health is an international 3½ year higher education programme taught in English and leading to a professional bachelor's degree. The programme is a full-time course of study corresponding to 210 ECTS credits and is open to both Danish and International students. Focus is on global challenges and aimed at the international labour market.
Our programme is currently being updated for September 2016 in regards to the curriculum, structure and contents. This reflects our commitment to ensuring the profile of Global Nutrition and Health graduates are always equipped for entering the Global Nutrition and Health profession.
From September 2016 the programme will have only one specialisation meaning that all students on the programme will follow the same path of study. The programme can still be shaped to your preference via electives and interprofessional courses. The new structure of the programme will incorporate elements of the current foundation year and the two current specialisations. To get an idea of what the current programme entails, please look through the information on our website, but please bear in mind that the programme will be different from September 2016.
Students undertake a compulsory internship as part of their second year studies. Applying knowledge gained from the programme overseas or in Denmark helps to consolidate learning.
