The Bachelor’s Degree in Global Nutrition and Health is a 3½ year higher education programme taught in English.
The programme is a full-time course of study corresponding to 210 ECTS credits, and is open to both Danish and international students. Focus is on global challenges within nutrition and health and the programme is aimed at the Danish as well as the international labour market.
Structure of the programme
The Bachelor Programme in Global Nutrition and Health consists of 7 semesters, each of 30 ECTS the student must complete to graduate as Bachelor of Global Nutrition and Health.
The Internships are an integrated part of the Bachelor's Degree in Global Nutrition and Health. You have the opportunity to go on internships in Denmark or abroad.
On semester 7 you will be doing your Bachelor Project including your Bachelor Thesis.
Bachelor Project – 30 ECTS
Your study at The Bachelor's Degree in Global Nutrition and Health ends with a Bachelor Project consisting of an Academic Skills Training Course, an internship & a Bachelor Thesis.
Submission of a bachelor thesis is a partial requirement for completion of the Bachelor’s Degree in Global Nutrition and Health. By writing a thesis you demonstrate your ability to produce a relatively lengthy academic work while combining the skills you have gained during the first three years of education. Your Bachelor Thesis can be prepared individually or in groups of up to three students.
Your Bachelor Project ends with a final bachelor examination at the end of semester 7. You will submit your Bachelor Thesis and you will attend an individual oral, external examination. You will receive one single mark for your written and oral performance.
Academic Skills Training Course
The distant learning component of the Bachelor Project – Academic Skills Training - is aimed at strengthen your capacity and skills with regard to writing a Bachelor Thesis. It is designed as an interactive program where the main focus will be on practical exercises. During the Academic Skills Training you will work together with students from the other specialization.
The Bachelor internship is part of your Bachelor Project. During this internship you are expected to:
- Implement specific tasks and take part in daily activities of the internship within the area of your specialisation
- Demonstrate capability to promote/engage professionally in your specialisation by combining theory and practice in a problem solving project
This internship can be within the same organisation as one of your previous internships giving you the opportunity to do a larger and more in debt project. You internship work is meant to be incorporated into your Bachelor Thesis.
