Dental hygiene studies prepare the students to carry out hygiene and prevention procedures, in particular the examination of the oral cavity, preventive and cosmetic dental procedures, dental health education and promotion of oral health, independent work in education of children and adults as well as oral hygiene instruction. Dental hygiene studies are based on modern medical knowledge including, apart from oral hygiene, beauty and health procedures, the aim of which is ensuring a natural and attractive appearance, good well-being and protection against the destructive effect of the environment, lifestyle and changes taking place as a result of diseases.
