Title acquired upon completion of the study: Upon completion of study, one acquires the academic title of Doctor of Medicine. The main task of the study program is to train students, future physicians, to practice independently in the primary health care system. The study also provides a basis for further, scientifically oriented education at postgraduate doctoral studies. The subject matter from various scientific disciplines that students must adopt in the course of the study program is grouped into five groups of courses: general education, basic medical, preclinical, clinical and public health courses. The distribution of course subjects over the semesters allows optimal acquiring of the prescribed knowledge and skills (according to the Catalogue of Knowledge and Skills, adopted by all medical faculties in the Republic of Croatia), and supported by adapted teaching forms (lectures, seminars, practical classes, demonstrations, work at clinical departments, field practice and other).
