The program was launched at the beginning of the academic year 2006-2007 according to the agreement signed with the University of Manchester and the approval of the Minister of Higher Education No. 2293 on 8/9/2006. The program adopts the curriculum of the University of Manchester under the supervision and training of the English side while the teaching and evaluation by the Egyptian side. HOW TO APPLY? Egyptian students must be accepted by Mansoura Faculty of Medicine or transferred to it by the National Office (for equivalent degrees) according to the national scoring and distribution of the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education. Foreign students should apply through the Waffeding Office of the Egyptian Ministry of higher education and get approved by their Embassy in Egypt. PROGRAMME CRITERIA The programme is designed in the form of modules: with integration at horizontal and vertical levels. The programme uses Problem-based learning (PBL) as an approach for these integrated modules. Students learn through well designed medical problems that cover a number of inter-related topics.
