The course of study, incardinated in the Department of Medicine and Surgery , aims to train graduates who can act in the field of human health, fitness and sport, using the skills and professionalism of the university and sports world, also following of agreements stipulated with the CUS Parma and with the CONI and the Sports Federations.
The duration of the degree course is three years with the acquisition of 180 university educational credits (CFU), divided into 60 credits per year, including basic educational activities, distinctive training activities, related and supplementary activities, activities chosen by the student and internship training activity.
The internship activity is mandatory, must be carried out under the supervision of a company tutor at facilities outside the university. The tutor, responsible for the internship, will compile an opinion on the activity carried out by the student. The internship is aimed at learning the fundamental aspects of specific motor and sports disciplines for subjects of different ages and genders.
Enrollment does not include a selection test and there are no barriers in career progression. There are bonuses on the graduation vote for students who earn CFU following courses at foreign universities, which demonstrate a rapid progression in the career and who graduate in three years.

You will be able to combine university knowledge with expertise from the world of sport, also thanks to agreements signed with CUS Parma (University Sports Center), CONI, CIP (Italian Paralympic Committee) and many other sports federations.
What awaits you after graduation
You will find employment as a specialized technician in sports clubs, third sector organizations or public, cooperative or private companies in the field of personal services. You will be able to specialize as an instructor of specific sporting disciplines, as technical manager of the implementation of activity programs in gyms or sports facilities, or as coordinator or manager of activities in the gym. Finally, you will be able to deepen your skills in technical and sporting practice to become, in this way, an athletic trainer in amateur or professional sports clubs.
