Introduction
A Program for Future Audiologists
Earn both your bachelor’s and your Doctor of Audiology in eight years through Nova Southeastern University’s Dual Admission program. From the beginning, you’ll gain real experience, learning to apply the latest technologies and current scientific research in diagnostic assessment, treatment, and management across the spectrum of auditory and vestibular disorders.
You’ll also prepare for clinical practice with coursework and clinical training experiences that serve a variety of patient populations. With the help of advanced patient simulation technology, extensive resources, and culturally diverse clinical experiences, you can gain an edge and jump-start your career.
Program overview
The Dual Admission Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) program takes a total of eight years (4+4) to complete. Candidates will first follow a four-year prescribed course of study in their undergraduate major. After the student completes these courses and one year of professional education in audiology, they will be awarded a bachelor's degree. Students will receive the Au.D. degree after four full years of training with the audiology department.

NSU’s Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) program will prepare you for a fulfilling career as an audiologist in whatever specialization you choose.
You’ll become an expert in providing services in the prevention, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment of hearing and balance disorders for people of all ages. Hearing and balance disorders are complex with medical, psychological, physical, social, educational, and employment implications. You’ll learn to help minimize the negative impact of these disorders on your patients, leading to improved outcomes and quality of life.
