The mission of the Anna Vaughn College of Nursing is to prepare professionally competent graduates—whole in spirit, mind, and body—who will go into every person's world to address the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual health of individuals, families, communities, and populations through the ministry of nursing.
The curriculum for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing provides a broad, general background for professional nursing and a foundation for specialization in graduate study.
Overall program goals include preparation of a graduate who demonstrates excellence in nursing practice based on current theory and research; the basic competencies for ongoing education, formal or informal; and is prepared to successfully write the NCLEX-RN exam for licensure as a registered nurse.
