Program Description

The purpose of this program is to facilitate the continuing professional development of practicing health professionals and physical education teachers. The following courses are all required courses for the HHP degree. These courses are all in addition to the general education requirements (45-50 Hours) and selected minor (18 hours). The HHP degree has two options; a Clinical/Wellness option and a Recreation/Fitness option.

  • HED 2392—Diet & Weight Control
  • HED 2412—Drug Education
  • HED 4403—Physiology of Aging
  • HED 4503—Instrumentation & Exercise Physiology

Clinical/Wellness option:

  • HED 4533—Cardiopulmonary Recreation
  • PED 4810—Practicum (6 hours)

Recreation/Fitness option:
