Internship
Fontys will help with your internships!
During the internships you will put theory, which you learned at school, into practice in a general or academic hospital or clinic. Examples of internship workplaces are Radiology, Radiotherapy, Nuclear Medicine and Ultrasound departments. We have a special department with contacts within and for the working field.
When are the internships set in the programme?
The hospital internships are positioned in the preliminary year, and are a fixed part of the programme. In year 1 and 2 these are short orientating internships. Year 3 includes the Minor with successively 5 months internship. In Year 4 you combine your graduation internship with your graduation research project.
The Netherlands and neighboring countries
During the internships you will put theory, which you learned at school, into practice in a general or academic hospital or clinic.
You can indicate a preference for a number of internship workplaces, yet Fontys will determine and allocate the locations. The hospitals and clinic assigned to interns are scattered over a large part of Holland, Belgium and Germany. This means that you have a fairly large chance of being allocated an internship on the other side of Holland, in Belgium or in Germany.
Internship abroad
This training programme also collaborates in foreign internships and exchange programmes. Fontys has a substantial network and has contacts with a large number of practice settings in and out of the Netherlands, consequently Fontys can help you find the most suitable internship or workplace.
