Program Description

The major Biomedical Engineering is one of the two majors offered by the Department of Biomedical Engineering within the TU/e Bachelor College.

Technology for the human body

As a biomedical engineer, you want to improve health care. In order to achieve this, you will optimize available information, techniques, and methods, and translate these to solutions a doctor can use. Techniques, for example, to improve the diagnoses of a patient, to speed up the treatment process or even better, treat a patient before the symptoms are noticeable.

Bachelor's program

The major Biomedical Engineering is formally part of the Bachelor's education program Biomedical Engineering. After graduating this major you will receive a diploma in the Bachelor's program Biomedical Engineering. The Bachelor's education program Biomedical Engineering is legally recognized and accredited by the Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO).
