What is Access to HE?
The Access to Higher Education (HE) Diploma is a qualification, equivalent to A Level, which allows people to go on and study at University when they previously didn’t have the relevant qualifications needed to do so. Access to HE courses are available in a wide range of different subjects and are widely recognized by UK Universities.
How can I pay?
The tuition fee for this course is up to £3,384 and if you are 19 or over, you can take out an Advanced Learner Loan to pay the fees. You pay nothing upfront and you don’t start repaying the loan until you are earning over £21,000 a year, which will then start low monthly repayments. However, if you progress to University and pass your related course, you can have the course absolutely free with your Advanced Learner Loan being written off. You should apply for your loan after the College has issued you with a Learning & Funding Letter.
Your course is fully supported by a dedicated tutor for each subject. This tutor will guide you through the course providing assistance and a tailored course experience for you.
Examinations are included within the course price. These exams are delivered online and can be taken anywhere at a date and time of your choice.
In order to study this Access to HE course, you should ideally have a Level 2 (GCSE Grade A to C) in Maths and English.
If you’re looking to progress to a University to further your studies then alongside an Access to HE qualification, most Universities also require students to have GCSE Maths and English at grade A to C, however, you will need to check with your intended University as to their specific requirements.
