Introduction
The program includes general and special orthopedics incl. alloplasty, spondylosurgery, arthroscopy, pediatric orthopedics, and traumatology of the motoric system. Orthopedics is a surgical discipline dealing with the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of congenital or acquired disorders, deformities, and functional problems (traumatic and non-traumatic) musculoskeletal system.

Study program Orthopaedics involves topics of congenital and acquired disorders of the movement system, infectious, metabolic diseases, tumors, and injuries of the skeleton and soft tissues including the spine. Graduates are able to assert themselves as consultants and highly skilled physicians in orthopedic and traumatology departments and as university teachers as well. Graduation of Ph.D. studies allows next research in Orthopaedics and Traumatology.
