Introduction
The orthodontist graduated from this institution must have basic knowledge about growth and pre and postnatal development; possess knowledge and ability for radiographic interpretation, know the tissues in which it works; the ability to manufacture and place orthodontic appliances, knowledge of the functions of the different orthodontic appliances, instruments and materials, and the functioning of the stomatognathic system in order to identify any anomaly. You must also have sufficient skill and knowledge to perform an adequate orthodontic diagnosis, to be able to forge real and adequate objectives depending on the needs of each particular case, to be able to assume the final result of the treatment.
In short, the graduate will be able to perform all kinds of orthodontic and maxillofacial orthopedic treatment.
In addition, they will be able to analyze the scientific and social problems in their area and thus propose research protocols, as well as investigate the frequency, distribution, and characteristics of malocclusion problems in the population to plan programs that reduce the rate of malocclusion.
