Master of Nursing
Four core courses, four elective courses* (in total eight courses worth 24 credits) , seminar and thesis are requirements for completion of this programme.
- Definition of Health
In this course, the students will study the subjective and objective assessment methods for health requirements of individuals, families and communities; and will gain the skills necessary for identification and evaluation of physiological and pathological indicators during various life stages.
- Theories and Concepts in Nursing
In this course, the students will gain knowledge on fundamental theories and principles in nursing; concepts and conceptualists in nursing; Process of nursing; and models utilised in practice.
- Research in Nursing
This course consists of information on identifying the priorities in research in nursing; and application and evaluation of clinical research. Through this course, students also gain the skills of critically evaluating a research article.
- Contemporary Management Techniques
Through this course, the students analyse the developments in management science within the dimensions of Organisation-Environment-Technology and understand the concepts of Total Quality Management, systems organizations, learning organizations, and process renewal. In addition, the students are expected to gain knowledge on roles and functions of managerial nurses and information on constituents in healthcare management.
