Clinical Training Scholars
Clinical Training Scholars at RVC develop the specialist-level research skills and clinical experience needed to rise to the top of their chosen field. Interns (Junior Clinical Training Scholars) and residents (Senior Clinical Training Scholars) work alongside world-class academic staff and gain access to the diverse caseload of the College’s hospitals, with exposure to every facet of clinical problem-solving and the management of patients.
Many scholars also spend time on placement in other diagnostic laboratories or clinical centres to broaden their experience.
RVC Clinical Training Scholarships are for qualified veterinarians. Graduates are equipped with the skills required to work at a specialist level, and provide appropriate exposure to clinical and diagnostic caseload. Senior Clinical Training Scholars register for a Masters degree, the MVetMed.
Scholarships are advertised on the Scholarships Available page in January/February each year and are also advertised in the Veterinary Record.
Interviews take place from late February to March depending on individual training programme. The SCTS programmes start on the first Monday in July and the JCTS programmes on the second Monday in July.
