If you wish to become a specialist in Acupuncture TCM able to assist healthy clients to remain that way, and even enhance their own health, then this comprehensive training programme (which provides more than just "Acupuncture" Training, being based on classical Chinese Medicine) enables the practitioner to use a full range of TCM diagnostic and therapeutic tools to achieve these ends. Although the course is part time it is demanding, as it aspires to turn out fully competent and qualified, confident and professional practitioners in a relatively short time. It is, however, offered in a way which enables it to be accessible to people who are currently working full time in another career or in the home. There are twelve main teaching weekends for each of the first two years. Teaching sessions in the first two years are approximately monthly, in the third, Clinical year, fortnightly. Unlike other institutes, the ICTCM ensures that all teaching sessions are held only on Saturdays and Sundays. All technical TCM terminology is taught in Chinese Pinyin. Summary 3 years Part-time Weekends only (Saturday and Sunday). 12 main teaching weekends in each of the first two years. Held in Dublin. There is home study, assignments, open-learning modules, point location and clinical workshops. The qualification is recognised by the PRTCM, the first professional body representing and regulating the practice of Acupuncture TCM in Ireland. It is specifically designed for adults wishing to change career. Graduates are qualified to take up professional practice of Acupuncture TCM in Ireland or the UK. Graduates can join the Professional body, the PRTCM, whose members are recognised by VHI, and the other main Health Insurance providers in Ireland.
