A bachelor’s degree is an undergraduate program that is available in a variety of disciplines. Students usually spend their education learning about general subjects, and then take a more focused approach with classes designed around their chosen career field.

You may be wondering, what is a Bachelor in Acupuncture? This program is designed for students who want to provide healing via alternative methods. Classes will vary depending on the program, but they may include theories and principles of acupuncture, point location, ancillary techniques, acupuncture meridians, Chinese herbal medicine, and scalp and auricular acupuncture. Students will also have numerous opportunities to practice and gain hands-on experience.

Students who pursue an acupuncture degree benefit in a number of ways. The practical experience that the programs offer prepares them for working in real life situations. Acupuncture has become a popular alternative therapy, and the programs that offer herbology and Chinese medicine expand their career opportunities even further.

The tuition and fees related to gaining an acupuncture degree will vary from one institution to another. Some of the factors include reputation of the school, duration of the program, and supplies fees. Students should contact the schools directly to find out what the financial obligations will be for the specific program they are interested in.

Most graduates with an acupuncture degree decide to use their education in a practice format, either in a group situation or in a private clinic. Some choose to gain additional knowledge in Chinese medicine and herbs in order to focus on that aspect. Some graduates choose to earn a higher degree in order to be an acupuncture instructor at the college level.
